A Sad Weekend

Armagh Zone has suffered 2 more losses over the weekend in the passing of Dennis Smyth and Errol Whitten. Dennis was well known around the zone, originally playing in Tandragee Pres and later Markethill and Mullabrack. Sympathies go to his wife Elizabeth and family circle.

Anyone involved in bowls in Armagh Zone will know the contribution Errol Whitten made to bowls in the area over the years. Errol was a former Zone Convenor and a stalwart of St. Saviour's, Armagh Road Pres and indeed Portadown BC. Again sympathies go to Errol's wife Olive and the family circle.

It has been a difficult season for the Zone with current Convenor Jal Richardson losing his father John at the start of the season, and former Convenor Flo McNally losing her son John earlier this month.
