Juniors runners-up in Junior Matchplay Shield

Congratulations to the Armagh A juniors who finished runners-up to North West in the Junior Matchplay Shield today in the Baker Stadium. The format was 1 rink, 1 triple, 1 pair and a single. After playing Monaghan A, Monaghan B and the "Young Guns" the A team made it through to the semi final where they had a great win over Mid Ulster. The experienced North West side were just a bit to strong in the final but this performance along with reaching the semi final of the Junior Interzone earlier this year shows how much progress Gerry Devlin's squad had made this year.

Armagh also had a B team in today's event with a triple from Mid Tyrone helping out. The B's also performed well and gained valuable experience finishing 10th.
